The Pumpkin Patch

We had a combined FHE with Brad and LaDeanna's family monday night.  We went to the pumpkin patch at Herrick's farm.  It was a beautiful fall day.  It was good for Grandpa to get out and as you can see from the pictures, he had a good time.  We went to Brad and LaDeanna's for dinner and had hamburger enchiladas.  Grandpa said his eyes were bigger than his stomach and he was getting full, but somehow he made room for a big cinnamon roll for dessert!

Going for a hay ride!

His pick of the pumpkins!

On a sadder note...Grandpa received news earlier in the day that his driver's license was being suspended until he can pass the required exams.  He has already taken them a few times and has not passed.  He feels a bit discouraged and will probably need time to adjust.  Its hard to lose the privilege of driving when you have been doing it for so many years.  Maybe family members could remember him in their prayers as he continues to adjust to the changes that have come his way.

It looks like you had a lot of fun at the pumpkin patch, Grandpa! The pumpkin looks great. The kids all say "hi!".

Hi Dad,

It looks like you are having fun Dad. Sorry about not being able to drive. I know it will be hard, but we are here to help. Look forward to seeing you at Thanksgiving.

Love Tammey
